If you see the CITYrefund logo on the shop-window, near its entrance or at the cash-desk, it indicates that the particular shop is registered in CITYrefund VAT refunding service system.
While shopping, please inform the shop assistant about your intentions to use CITYrefund VAT refunding system and show your passport or ID card that would indicate your third country resident status. The shop assistant will give you a special Tax Free Form that should be filled in and signed in the presence of the shop assistant.
Please pay separately for Tax Free purchases and ask the shop assistant to staple the receipt to the Tax Free Form.
Please contact us if a shop in which you want to make a purchase is not registered in CITYrefund service system.
During your stay in EU you are eligible to receive VAT refund from the purchased goods in local online stores.
Before buying any goods online, please make a request using this form and we will provide you with information whether it's eligible to buy goods and apply for VAT refund in a certain online store.
Please inform the online store assistant that you will need a Tax Free Form and send them your passport or ID card copy that would indicate your third country resident status. The online store assistant will fill in Tax Free Form during the delivery of goods.
The online store will deliver the invoice or receipt together with the purchased goods. The issued invoice has to state the delivery address, while in Tax Free Form the address of your residency has to be indicated.
How to fill in the CITYrefund Tax Free Form?Please fill in the form in block letters using the Latin alphabet. Fill in the required fields: in section 2.1 - Customer, write your full name and surname, your residence address; 2.2 tick the form of remittance you prefer and fill in the required fields; cross out the other forms; under section 2.3 sign the form. Section 1 - Purchase information (1.1-1.9) and sections 3.1 and 3.2 are filled in, signed and stamped by a shop assistant. Please make sure that the shop assistant fills in all the necessary sections of Tax Free Form, except for the section "Customs", signs it and stamps it. Whereas section 4 must be filled in by customs.
In order to fill in the fields 1.1 - 1.9 in the Tax Free Form, the shop assistant might use guidelines that are printed on the inside of the Tax Free Form package.
The amount of refund is calculated from the minimal refund rate; namely, it is 15.3% with 21% VAT and 6.3% with 12% VAT. In case VAT refund includes a number of Tax Free Forms, the refund rate is calculated considering the total amount of purchases stated in Tax Free Forms.
Please do not forget to indicate your e-mail address and mobile phone number in the Tax Free Form and sign it..
An incompletely filled Tax Free Form can result in VAT refund being declined!
